About Kristen Amanda
At Kristen Amanda Studio, every brushstroke tells a story of connection—between people, nature, and the quiet beauty woven into everyday life.
Kristen Amanda is a fine artist based in Minneapolis, known for her ability to capture both the extraordinary and the ordinary in ways that invite reflection, wonder, and joy. Working in a wide range of mediums—including acrylic, plaster, and oil—Kristen creates original works of art on canvas, as well as large-scale murals and commissioned pieces for private and public spaces.
With nearly six decades of experience, Kristen’s artistry is rooted in resilience, curiosity, and devotion. A self-taught painter since the age of 11, she built a full-time career in the arts while raising four children as a single mother. This strength and perseverance echo throughout her work, which honors the human spirit and the shared moments that unite us all.
Kristen’s portfolio spans intimate portraits, expansive landscapes, and large-format murals. Her commissioned works can be found in homes, universities, and public spaces throughout Minnesota—including frescoes at the University of St. Thomas and murals in Wayzata, Excelsior, Minnetonka, and Minneapolis—as well as private collections across the United States and Europe. Her pieces have also been featured in special exhibitions at institutions such as the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
Above all, Kristen’s art is an invitation: to pause, reflect, and find yourself in the sacred connections of daily life. Whether you are looking for a custom commission, a statement mural, or a meaningful work of fine art, Kristen brings vision, heart, and decades of mastery to every creation.
